A Des Moines mother, who pleaded guilty to charges in the death of her baby, has been given a 10 year, suspended prison sentence.
Our News partner, Channel 13, WHO-TV reports 27-year old Laci Taylor will be on probation for five years, must do 500 hours of community service and pay $150,000 in restitution.
Taylor was originally charged with child endangerment resulting in death, after her daughter died in September of last year.
The baby rolled over on a changing table, and suffocated. Taylor says she was out of the room for 10-minutes, fixing a bottle and smoking a cigarette.
