Dispelling Myths about Farming

Educational effort.  The Washington Post, of all places, working to dispel the 10 modern myths about the most ancient occupation.  Believe it or not, the article is right on the money, explaining some of the key differences between reality and allusion on issues like food labels, pesticides and G-M-O's.  It points out that food is relatively inexpensive as Americans also spend among the least worldwide as a percent of income, and much less than we did in the 60's.  Authors concluding the "most pervasive" myth is that most farms are a factory, as nearly 99 percent of U-S farms are family-owned.
