Drone finds six lost on river in northeast Iowa

A drone is getting credit for a river rescue in Allamakee County in far northeast iowa.

The Decorah fire department used its drone to help the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office find six people reported missing on the Yellow River.  

On its Facebook page, the Fire Department says they located three people within ten minutes of launching the drone.

Minutes later, firefighters used the drone's thermal imaging camera to find three more people downstream.
