Both the Waukee City Council and the Iowa Economic Development Commission Thursday will be taking up pieces of a project that could bring a new data center to the area.
Waukee's city council is set to sell over 210 acres of land at $25,000 an acre to Bravo Real Estate, LLC of Atlanta, GA. No details of the sale have been released, but the person who's signed the sales agreement is Frank Lyles, Jr. He's listed as the Chief Business Officer for T5 Data Centers in Atlanta-at the same address.
That meeting's at 9:30am.
About a half-hour later, the Iowa Economic Development Commission meets to discuss economic incentives for Apple, Incorporated in Waukee. So far, IEDC officials are mum about the details of the Apple agreement, or if it's related to the land sale in Waukee.
WHO Radio will attend both meetings and report the latest information Thursday morning.
