President Trump has approved a Presidential Disaster Declaration for seven NE iowa counties hit by severe weather and flooding in July.

They're Allamakee, Bremer, Buchanan, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette and Mitchell counties.

The action provides funds for rebuilding public infrastructure some of which are partially matched by the state. It's estimated the storms caused an estimated seven million dollars in damage.  Governor Reynolds requested the declaration August 10th.
