The Central Iowa Exchange barn was destroyed by fire Wednesday. The barn at 930 Hunter Street was used to sell horses and cattle.
A post on Central Iowa Exchange Facebook page says: "At this time I am truly devastated and can not wrap my mind around this. I loved this sale barn and the history."
From photos posted on Facebook, it appears the barn was recently repainted. Another post promises to update followers with future plans.
