When he's returned to Des Moines, Randy Dean Miles, Jr. will face first degree murder and arson charges in the death of 26 year old Christopher Lenhart..
The Des Moines Police Department says prosecutors approved the felony charges against Miles. He's currently being held in Grand Forks, North Dakota pending extradition.
Police arrived around 1:30pm August 25 at 1439 Henderson Avenue to find two vehicles had been set on fire and Lenhart was also suffering from extreme burns to his body. He was taken to the burn unit at University Hospitals in Iowa City where he died Sunday of his injuries.
