Des Moines Police say a man's accused of assaulting his girlfriend in a moving vehicle, and refusing to let her get out.
Police say 19-year old Jesse Hernandez wrecked the vehicle at East 13th and Walker Wednesday afternoon, that's where officers found the girlfriend.
She told police the two had been arguing and there had been numerous assaults in the vehicle.
Hernandez was taken to the hospital first, then to the Polk County Jail this morning. He's been booked on domestic assault and false imprisonment charges.
He's also facing marijuana possession and driving while barred charges.
