JJ Watt has raised more than $18 million for Houston on YouCaring.com since Hurricane Harvey destroyed his city. He started with a goal of $200,000 on Aug. 27 and reached it within a couple hours. Ever since, he's been bumping up his goal while fans and fellow celebrities have answered the call. His new goal is $20 million. He has been volunteering as well, getting hands on in the community.
In fact, so many people are impressed with the way he has stepped up, they want to make him a part of Texas history and name a highway after him. The petition began on change.org and has quickly earned over 80,000 signatures, all in favor of changing State Highway 99 to JJ Watt Parkway.
