What Does It Take To Coordinate An Emergency Response?

Before, during, and after an emergency, officials from the federal, state, and local governments must coordinate their response.

The response to Hurricane Katrina seemed to be a low point in regard to response.  The public has perceived the responses to Harvey and Irma more positively.  How did this happen?

Mark Herrera is on the Dept. of Homeland Security's Sub-sector Council. He trains first responders and emergency managers across the country in focus, performance and control in extreme situations.
