Amanda Wanke of DART joined us in the studio this morning shortly after the 7: 30 news to talk about the $1.45 Million grant for low emission buses they have received. This means you will be seeing electic DART buses in Des Moines in the near future. Amanda says as the buses are retired, they will be replaced with electric buses. Meanwhile, they need to install chargers in the bus barn and train their maintenance staff to work on electric buses. Maestro Joseph Giunta joined us in the studio this morning just after the 8:30 news. It's time for the new season for the Des Moines Symphony. It all gets started this weekend with a performance on Saturday night at 7:30PM and a Sunday afternoon performance at 2:30PM.
