The West Des Moines Police Department will be offering a Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) course beginning October 17th.
The four Night course will be held at the department, located at 250 Mills Civic Parkway, On October 17th, 19th, 24th and 26th from 6-9 PM.
The RAD system is a comprehensive course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
The course is taught by certified RAD instructors with simple and effective tactics. RAD provides realistic defense techniques to provide women with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance. To complete the course you must attend each of the four nights of instruction.
The cost of the course is $25.00 which includes free attendance to future programs for defense refresher training.
