CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA - Gregory Davis has been charged with 1st-degree murder in the death of a woman in Marion.

Police say Davis told them he stabbed the victim eight times.

Court records say the death of the victim happened at 1280 14th Street, but according to police, Davis said he rolled the body in a blanket and took it to a trailer located on a property owned by his parents at 560 Hillview Drive several days before police found the body.

The murder victim, a woman, has not yet been named.

Davis made his first appearance in Linn County Court in Cedar Rapids Tuesday morning.  Bond is set at $2 million.

According to KCRG-TV 9, during his initial appearance Davis blurted out loud, "I was on drugs."
