Anne Frank Costume Pulled From Retailer After Social Media Clapback

The costume retailer HalloweenCostmumes.com was featuring a girls costume kit that included a blue dress, green beret and brown shoulder bag as an Anne Frank costume. The costume's description said Frank was a World War II hero and an inspiration stating "we can always learn from the struggles of history." It didn't go over so well on social media...

The public relations specialist for the parent company of the site issues a statement on Twitter.

"We sell costumes not only for Halloween, but for many uses outside of the Halloween season, such as school projects and plays...We have passed along the feedback regarding this costume, and it has been removed from the website at this time."
