(Polk County, Iowa) Two people were hurt in a crash on Highway 163 in eastern Polk County after 7:30 this morning, west of the Metro Park East Landfill.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office says a car headed south on NE 108th Street, collided with a semi that was headed west on Highway 163.
The car ended up under the semi and was dragged a few hundred feet. Polk County Sheriff's Office Spokesman, Lieutenant Rick Blaylock says the male driver of the car, had to be extricated. A male passenger in the car was able to get out of the car on his own. Both were taken to local hospitals by ambulance.
