(Ames, Iowa) Iowa State University's warning students about an email phishing scam.
The message has a legitimate-looking subject line, which reads "IA State Information Technology."
It asks users to re-activate their V-P-N.
ISU says anyone who gets the email should delete it, not click on the link.
ISU says the school will never ask for an ID or password via email.
If a student gave their username and password, report it to IT Security (abuse@iastate.edu) and change your password by contacting the Solution Center.
