(Des Moines, Iowa)  Governor Kim Reynolds is appointing Steve Lukan as Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs executive director.

Lukan is currently the director of the Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.   He's also a former state lawmaker, serving from 2003 to 2012, and served four years in the Navy.

I am humbled and honored to serve the brave men and women of our armed forces in this way,” Lukan said. “They have given excellence in their service, and excellence in fulfilling the mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs will be our goal.”
