New estimates say that investigations into Russian ties and collusion could move into the early part of 2018. In one of the latest twists – which may signal a shift to the investigation lead by Special Counsel Robert Mueller –former National Security adviser Michael Flynn’s legal team has formally cut ties with President Trump’s legal team. Reports are stating that both legal teams are no longer able to share information as a result- a sign that Flynn might be cooperating the Special Counsel Mueller and looking to make a deal. President Trump fired Flynn early on for misleading Vice President Mike Pence about communications with the Russian Ambassador and according to sources has been the center of intense scrutiny under the Mueller investigation – including for his work lobbying – and whether he life to federal agents about his foreign contacts and dealings.
