Johnston to build a downtown? Christmas Concert & Merging companies

The mayor of Johnston, Paula Dierenfeld, joined us in the studio this morning to talk about Johnston's plan to build a downtown!  The area is defined as generally east of Merle Hay Road between NW 62nd Avenue and NW 63rd Place.  The plan provides a clear vision for a walkable, mixed-use town center with a small-town feel.  You can hear the entire interview with Paula here...

The Harmony Central and Pride of Iowa Choruses present Barbershop Christmas on Saturday, December 2nd at the West Des Moines Christian Church with concerts at 2PM and 7PM.  In the spirit of the season, you are invited to drop-off a toy, non-perishable food item or monetary donation to support Toys For Tots and DMARC.  Hear a little sample of what you will be hearing here...

For those of you who missed the "special" company mergers Van talked about this morning...or if you just want to hear them again, here they are....

Tomorrow on Van and Bonnie, we'll have a guy on whose going on a balloon ride so high that he will need to take oxygen!  Plus, since we'll be out of the studio on Friday for the big Operation Christmas Meal at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, we'll have the Friday Morning News Quiz on Thursday!

Have a super day!

Bonnie
