SWAN, IOWA - A central Iowa man is accused of using a cattle prod to shock his children as punishment.
According to Marion County Court documents, 36-year-old Travis Coker of Swan is charged with two counts of Child Endangerment Causing Injury, a Class D Felony.
Investigators say he used a Sharpstock livestock electric prod on the underage girls to shock them as a form of discipline. According to the manufacturer the electric prod is designed for use on large livestock such as hogs and cattle.
Coker was arraigned Thursday December 7, and is out on $5000 bond.
The Marion County Court has issued a no-contact order.
