(Des Moines, Iowa) Iowa native Astronaut Peggy Whitson returns to her home state tonight (Friday) to be the guest of honor at the annual "Celebrate Iowa Gala" at the State Historical Building.
In early September, Whitson wrapped up a record-breaking mission aboard the International Space Station.
She has spent more time living and working in space than any other American, or any woman worldwide....665-days, over three missions.
