Grassley says he's not worried about Alabama Senate result

Iowa senior US Senator says he's not too worried about the GOP's loss of a seat in Alabama.

The election of Democrat Doug Jones over Republican Roy Moore in Tuesday's special election will change the Republican Senate majority from 52 to 51. But Grassley says that won't matter much.

Grassley says it takes 60 votes to overcome most filibuster threats in the US Senate anyway, meaning that the loss of one member won't affect that much. The Senator says right now, that means there must be bi-partisan action to get most things through the Senate's 60-vote de facto requirement.

The Iowa senator says the Alabama election should be a reminder to Republicans that they need to work together to get the things they promised in the last election approved.
