It was the late 1980s and Mohr was working full-time with her husband on their Minnesota dairy farm, caring for a herd of Registered Holstein cows.Eventually, Mohr said she took a leap of faith and started painting full-time:

Mohr was recognized as the 2017 National Dairy Shrine Guest of Honor at this year’s World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin — the first woman to be recognized with the prestigious award.
