A major Des Moines employer is announcing tax-reform related bonuses. Nationwide, which employes 44-hundred people in the Des Moines area has announced $1,000 discretionary bonuses to employes and managers. The company, which is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, also plans to increase the company's 401-K match for all employees.
Nationwide says they're able to do so, because of the new tax legislation and reduced corporate income tax rate.
The insurer, according to www.bizjournals.com joins a number of major financial institutions boosting pay for employees following the newly approved tax cuts.
