Two airlines are giving generous bonuses to employees in light of the recently passed tax cuts bill. Southwest and American Airlines are giving workers one-thousand-dollar bonuses.
Southwest is also using the cut in corporate taxes to give five-million-dollars to charity. The company will also invest in its Boeing fleet. The recently passed tax bill cuts the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%.
If this sounds familiar, it should as other large corporations announced $1,000 employee bonuses immediately following the passage of the GOP tax bill. AT&T said it would dole out a total of $200-million, while Bank of America announced it would put up $145-million.
