DES MOINES, IOWA - A man has been arrested and charged with arson after fire investigators say he deliberately set his father's house on fire.
Des Moines firefighters were called out in extreme cold to a fire at 1316 Euclid at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night. When crews arrived they found flames inside the house.
22-year-old Jesus Pena is charged with second degree arson. Police say he and two roommates lived in the house, which is owned by Pena's father.
Investigators say the roommates were not home at the time of the fire. Pena is being held in the Polk County Jail on $10,000 bail.
No one was injured in the fire. An earlier report of an injured person was later corrected by police.
