Three dead in eastern Iowa crash

A tragic crash in Black Hawk County, just after 5pm, Friday, killed three young men.

Iowa State Patrol says a car was traveling at a high rate of speed on Viking Road, lost control and slid sideways into an on-coming SUV.

The impact split the car in two, killing 20 year old Elijah Showalter, 21 year old Daniel Delagardelle and 16 year old Brady Hagenstein.  All 3 from Waterloo.

A family of three from Cedar Falls in the SUV were injured and ISP says the investigation is continuing.
