Dangerous cold weather - School Delays & Closings

DES MOINES, IOWA - A Wind Chill Warning is in effect in northern Iowa with wind chills of -25 to -35 and a Wind Chill Advisory is posted for Central and Southern Iowa with wind chills of -15 to -25 through noon Tuesday. 

Tuesday will be a cold day with high temperatures staying in the single digits.

WHO TV Channel 13 meteorologists report winds will switch to the south by Wednesday and this will lead to rising temperatures back to the 20s mid-week. We will continue to see warmer temperatures to the 30s and 40s through the end of the week. 

Clouds will increase again by the weekend with messy weather including rain, freezing rain and snow all possible Sunday through Monday.
