UNRESTRICTED JOY: Sister sings duet with brother with Down Syndrome

Van and Bonnie like to provide "unrestricted joy" on their program.  Here's a video that will do just that.

A mother of a two-year-old boy born with Down syndrome witnessed the power of music when she saw her daughter playing guitar and singing to him as he happily joined in and sang and reacted to his family’s voices for the first time.

Amanda Bowman Gray shared the video to Facebook on January 15, writing that her son Bo, who is 25 months old, only knew how to say 12 words. In the video, Bo can be heard singing the words to You Are My Sunshine along with his sister.“Every word he has learned has been through music and singing,” Bowman Gray wrote.

The song is also special to the family as Gray and her husband Caleb sang the song to Bo when he was recovering in the hospital from heart surgery.

Any listener to my show knows how much I love music.  It is always going in my office...in the car...at home.  It provides me joy in my every moment.  And this is a GREAT illustration of its power.
