The NFL championship games today have some odd start times for Iowa viewers: the Jaguars challenge the Patriots for the AFC title at 2:05 pm while the Vikings play the Eagles for the NFC championship at 5:40 pm.

That got me thinking: what's MY favorite sports moment?
Listeners know that I am a St. Louis native, so it won't surprise you that my favorite "moment" is actually a collection of moments: the plays that led to the St Louis Cardinals’ 10-9, 11-inning win over the Rangers in Game 6 of the 2011 World Series.
Not only those plays, but the circumstances under which I viewed those plays on TV. My son and I were spending the night at my daughter's house and she has young children. She and the kids were in bed while my son and I watched the game (with the sound off) on television.
We were literally jumping and pumping our fists slightly through the final innings. We couldn't shout or yell or react in any noisy way because the kids were sleeping. We were just staring at each other with our mouths open - silently.
That's become a memory as wonderful as any play made during the game.
