Clive, Iowa Walgreens evacuated after people sickened

(CLIVE, Iowa).     The Walgreens in the 12-thousand block of University Avenue in Clive was evacuated this (Friday) afternoon, after numerous people reported getting sick near the store's pharmacy.

Firefighters and hazmat teams went to the Walgreens located at 12753 University Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. Multiple employees reported suffering symptoms including light headedness, dizziness, and vomiting.   

Six people, including three employees were taken to a local hospital. Polk County Health Department Spokesperson Nola Aigner tells our news partner, Channel 13, WHO-TV there was no natural gas or carbon monoxide exposure, but the cause of the illnesses continues.
