Manpower U.S. hiring outlook 2018

DES MOINES, Iowa - Job growth in Iowa is expected to pick-up by 21% over the next few months according to a survey by Manpower of Central Iowa.

"The strongest prospects are in the construction, durable goods manufacturing, transportation and utilities, wholesale and retail trade."   Kathy Joblinski tells WHO/WMT Radio News.  She continues the list of growth sectors in Iowa.

"Information and financial activities, professional and business services, education and health services, leisure and hospitalities, and government services."  She says.

Iowa's capitol city, Des Moines is projected to see a 25% increase in jobs.

Joblinski says during these times of extremely low unemployment, employers are looking for people with good skills, but they're also willing to train the right people.   She says hiring bonuses are also becoming more common.
