I've talked endlessly about "tribalism" on my show: the concept that everything MY party does is fine while everything YOUR party does (even if it is the same thing) is wrong.
Here's ONE of the dangers of tribalism: voters like me have no IDEA if we are witnessing government corruption OR partisan wrangling.
FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe has been "removed" from the bureau, according to this Fox News report.
Why?
THIS REPORT says McCabe, who has been viewed as a Hillary partisan who tilted investigations in her favor by Republicans, says McCabe may have asked agents to alter witness interviews.
However, the New York Times says McCabe was "taunted by Trump and pressured from above" - in other words, a victim of GOP partisanship for doing his job.
CBS This Morning says an upcoming memo release by the GOP questioning whether the Department Of Justice and FBI sought to tip the electoral scales in favor of Hillary is meant to undermine the Russian collusion investigation.
Other liberal media said the release of the memo may "undermine national security."
We live in an era of hyperpartisanship not only in politics but in the media. As liberals and conservatives battle to control the narrative, media outlets choose WHICH narrative to follow. My only complaint is when a media outlet tries to pretend it plays it "straight down the middle."
Do I think bias tainted FBI and DOJ investigations of Hillary and President Trump? Yes I do. But don't just take MY word for it. Listen to Chuck Schumer:
