(DES MOINES, Iowa) The Des Moines Police Department's honoring several police and fire department employees.
The Station 9 Fire Department crew has been honored for it's response to the November 2016 shooting of Sergeant Tony Beminio.
Senior Police Officer Scott Neely and his police-dog partner "Massey" were honored too. "Massey" sniffed out the weapon used in the murders of Sergeant Beminio and Urbandale Police Officer Justin Martin.
The Des Moines Police Department's also honoring two officers with Livesaving Awards. Officer Joshua Noble, for giving CPR to a cardiac-arrest patient. Senior Derek Huford was honoerd for providing critical on-scene medical care to a shooting victim.
