DES MOINES, Iowa - The Des Moines area got a half-inch or less of snow overnight, with the heaviest snow north of Ames, but more snow is coming.
The heaviest snow overnight fell mostly north of the Des Moines metro area, from Ames to the north, with 7 inches of snow measured in Webster City and Eldora; 6.5 inches in Cedar Falls.
WHO Channel 13 Meteorologist Jeriann Ritter says we could see 1-4 inches of snow overnight tonight into Saturday in central and southern Iowa, and another 1-3 inches overnight Saturday into Sunday.
