IOWA CITY, Iowa - Students at City High, West High, and South East Junior High in Iowa City walked out of class Monday, protesting gun violence.

KCRG-TV 9 reports many of the students were holding signs calling for changes in gun laws, many called for a ban of the AR-15.  That’s the gun that was used in the Florida school shooting last week.

After a two mile march, a student read the names of the 17 victims from last week's school shooting in Parkland, Florida into a megaphone. Students at the rally repeated each name, in unison.
