More salmonella cases from bad chicken salad

More people have come down with Salmonella after eating chicken salad they bought at a Fareway store.

As of Tuesday, the Iowa Department of Public health says the total number of confirmed cases is 37-up from 9 last Friday.  And there are 78 probable cases, up from 66 last Friday.

Last week, the Department issued a warning to Iowans not to eat the chicken salad sold under the Fareway label before February 9th because of the outbreak of salmonella poisoning.  The chicken salad was made by an outside vendor and sold under the Fareway label.

Fareway reported that it had removed all of the chicken salad from its stores and is no longer selling it.

Here's the report from the Iowa Department of Public Health.
