Ackley firm tied to tainted chicken salad sold at Fareway

The USDA says it was an Ackley, Iowa company that made the chicken salad that's been tied to over 37 cases of salmonella poisoning in Iowa alone.

Triple T Specialty Meats is recalling about 20 thousand pounds of the ready to eat chicken salad products that were sold under the Fareway label in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, and South Dakota.

Already, one customer is suing the Fareway chain because chicken salad she bought and ate caused her to be hospitalized and seek medical treatment.  She wants her medical bills paid, and to be compensated for lost wages.
