(DES MOINES, Iowa) The Iowa Finance Authority and the Iowa Association of Realtors are launching "House Wise Iowa", an initiative to teach Iowans about the home buying process.
Executive Director David Jamison says there are a number of programs to assist with buying a home.
"You might be surprised to learn that the household income could be up to $121,000 dollars and the purchase price for a home can be up to $310,000, so it's a bigger target audience than what most people think of," said Jamison.
The House Wise Iowa promotion offers Iowans a chance to win one of two wise home packages, as well as bonus prizes like grocery gift cards. Any Iowan age 18 or older is eligible to participate by visiting iowafinanceauthority.gov and entering the sweepstakes through June 30, 2018.
“The Iowa Finance Authority offers a variety of programs for homebuyers, and we’ve adjusted our programs to allow even more Iowans access to our programs,” IFA Executive Director Dave Jamison said.
“I encourage anyone considering purchasing a home this year to visit IFA’s website to get wiser about home ownership and sign up to win a wiser home.”
