(DES MOINES, Iowa) Des Moines city golf courses Waveland and Bright-Grandview open Friday, March 16th. A.H. Blank course has been open, and is ready for play.
Des Moines Park and Recreation officials say last year, nearly 85-thousand rounds of golf were played at those three coures.
The Jester Park Golf Course northwest of the Des Moines metro area opens today, March 15th, after a $3.5 (M) million renovation.
Crews started working last fall at Jester, replacing the irrigation system, and making other improvements.
The Clubhouse was gutted and remodeled with an addition of a banquet room and outdoor patio. It is set to open in late May.
A statement on the Jester Park website states that the existing clubhouse will be fully functional during the project.
