To celebrate the beginning of spring (in a couple days) and another successful year, we gathered at the Jones County Fairgrounds in Monticello for the annual Jones County Cattlemen's banquet. A big crowd, which included Andy, came out to enjoy the featured attraction - a 16 oz ribeye steak:
Each one of those grates hold 60 ribeyes, they they are seared over a hot charcoal fire:
There is no method elsewhere which produces better results...a thick, tasty, juicy steak, cooked to perfection. And a lot of people know it, did we mention the big crowd:
There were a few other things to do also, including find new homes for a few pedal tractors:
Congratulations to Hall of Fame inductee Ron Nowachek and Jones County Idol winner Phil Knuth. When this is the last thing seen before leaving, one knows it was a great night:
