(CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa) Police in Cedar Rapids are investigating a possible murder-suicide case.
Officers were called to 639 40th Street SE at 4:40 this (Monday) morning.
Police say they found a 30-year-old man in the street, dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Inside the home, officers found a 35-year-old man who had been shot several times. He was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and is expected to survive.
Cedar Rapids Police say there were several children in the home, as well as a woman, they were not injured.
Police say the the man found dead had a prior relationship with the female in the house.
