(PELLA, Iowa) A son of a well known central Iowa sporting family has died. Twenty-seven-year old Kirk Korver, the youngest son of the Korver family of Pella, has died after becoming seriously ill last week.
Kirk Korver starred for Pella High School and played basketball at the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyle Korver is the oldest son of Kevin and Laine Korver.
The Cleveland Cavaliers posted a comment on Twitter:
"We are very sad to share that Cavaliers guard Kyle Korver's brother Kirk passed away today. Kyle has been excused from the team to be with his family. We extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt best to Kyle and his entire family as they go through this very difficult time."
