(DES MOINES, Iowa) Drake University has named Men's Assistant Basketball Coach Dave Thorson as Interim Head Coach, amid what's been a developing story this (Thursday) afternoon.
Colorado State University has announced that Niko Medved, who until today lead the Drake men's basketball team, is moving to Colorado State University in Fort Collins, to become the next head coach there.
Medved is a former assistant coach for CSU. Head Coach Larry Eustachy resigned last month.
Medved (pictured right) had been head coach at Drake for just one year. The team finished tied for third in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Colorado State says Medved will be named the new head coach Friday morning.
