Omnibus Spending Bill Allows MORE H-2B Visas

When the radio show ended on Friday, President Trump was threatening on Twitter to veto the omnibus spending bill passed by Congress to avert a government shutdown.  He tweeted that he was unhappy that DACA protection wasn't included in the bill and that it did not fully fund a border wall.

I think most Trump supporters would have supported a veto.  However, the President has signed the bill, he says, for national security reasons (i.e. the funding provided to the military).

As voters realize what it IN the bill, however, they may be shocked.  A President who says he puts America first, has taken a hardline on immigration, and wants to raise American wages has signed a bill that expands the H-2B visa-worker program - a program that allows companies to hire foreign workers for seasonal work.

Companies will argue that Americans won't do the type of work undertaken by H-2B visa-workers (landscaping, forestry work, seafood processing, and construction along with resorts, hotels and restaurant staffing) but the H-2B program doesn't force companies to RAISE WAGES to attempt to attract Americans to this work.

This provides cheap labor, pure and simple.  And it's a shame that President Trump did NOT veto the bill due to his concerns or this issue.
