(DES MOINES, Iowa) A panel meets soon to look at challenges to several candidates' nomination petitions. Secretary of State Paul Pate, State Auditor Mary Mosiman, and Attorney General Tom Miller will meet Tuesday afternoon at the Iowa Capitol Building in Des Moines.
Challenges to numerous candidates' petitions have been filed, including those of Republican Ron Corbett, who's running for Governor.
A formal challenge against Corbett maintains there are duplicate signatures on Corbett's petitions. Corbett calls the charge "baseless."
The Iowa Secretary of State's Office lists challenges to candidates as follows:
Dale Bolsinger, Republican candidate for Iowa House, District 56
Ginny Caligiuri, Republican candidate for U.S. House, District 2
