DES MOINES, Iowa - Des Moines City Hall will reopen today after a year-long renovation project.
The 108-year-old building is on the National Register of Historic Places, and has been closed for the past year for a $7.5 million dollar renovation that includes new heating and cooling systems, and a fire sprinkler system.
The first City Council meeting will be held back in the 2nd floor City Hall chamber after the ribbon cutting.
