The West Des Moines Police Department will be offering a Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) course beginning April 23rd. The four Night course will be held at their department, at 250 Mills Civic Parkway, On April 23rd, 25th, 30th and May 2nd from 6-9 PM.
The RAD system is a comprehensive course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
Their course is taught by certified RAD instructors with simple and effective tactics. RAD provides realistic defense techniques to provide women with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance. To complete the course you must attend each of the four nights of instruction.
The cost of the course is $25.00 which includes free attendance to future programs for defense refresher training.
