Des Moines man faces long list of charges after chase

DES MOINES, Iowa-  A Des Moines man's in the Polk County jail, facing charges after a chase and crash northeast of Des Moines this (Wednesday) morning.

Polk County Deputies took 36-year-old Bryan Williams into custody after the Dodge Caravan he was driving crashed into a light pole near 3rd and School Streets.

The chase began after deputies tried to pull over Williams at NE 29th Street and Broadway around 9:40 this morning, but he refused and led officers on a chase, southbound on 2nd Avenue in Des Moines.

Williams caused a minor crash near 2nd Avenue and Jefferson, but kept on going.   Those in the other vehicle were checked at a local hospital for injuries.

Williams was taken to the Polk County Jail and faces the following charges.

* Parole Violation

* Eluding

* Hit and Run Causing Injury

* Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Offense

* Multiple traffic violations
