DES MOINES, Iowa - Storms are expected to fire up in the mid to late afternoon into the evening.

Some of these storms could be severe again with hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes. The storms will exit off into eastern Iowa through 8 PM.

WHO TV Channel 13 Meteorologist Jeriann Ritter says it'll improve in time for the weekend.

"A much quieter weather pattern settles in with lots of sunshine and high temperatures ranging from the low to upper 70s Friday through early next week." Ritter says.

The AM 1040 WHO Severe Weather Center will broadcast live storm coverage through the evening.
